This practical duplex apartment, on the ground and first floors of a development on the edge of Argentière, is just 230m from the Grands Montets cable car and offers a great base for a holiday at any time of year. The two-bedroom apartment sleeps 4 people. It has a bright, airy living room on the ground floor, with a large glass door leading out onto a balcony with views over the mountains. Indoors, there is a sofa, coffee table and flat-screen TV. To the side of the living area, the breakfast bar, with 4 padded stools, allows guests to dine in comfort. The attractive, modern kitchen, with wooden units and granite worktops, is well-equipped with a cooker hob, oven, microwave, fridge, extractor fan and coffee machine. Neat, open, stairs lead upstairs to the bedrooms. Sleeping Bedroom 1: The attractive master bedroom has stripped pine flooring and a wrought iron double bed. The slopes around Argentière are suitable for intermediate and experienced skiers. Some higher slopes offer skiing later in the season, sometimes right up to early May. The village is home to some excellent restaurants and bars to suit all budgets. For self-catering options, there is a weekly farmers’ market every Sunday morning in Place du Village (a 7-minute walk). There are also supermarkets for groceries and a boulangerie just 2 minutes away. The Chamonix valley is an exciting holiday destination all year round. During the summer months, there are stunning mountain trails for hiking or mountain biking, white water rafting, golf, rock climbing, paragliding and horse riding. In the winter it is famous for its wide range of snow sports. Geneva airport is a 1-hour and 20-minute drive from the apartment. There are free shuttle services between Argentière and Chamonix on the Mont Blanc Express.
